Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) December 15, 2011

It’s no longer necessary to leave Xagave at home. Take Xagave with you wherever you go, on the road, to work, the airport, wherever you desire the great taste of Xagave. Each single serving packet provides the sweetness equivalent equal to 2 tsp of sugar. The new single serving packets are available and can be purchased in quantities of 50 and 500.

Preferred by chefs and recommended by doctors, Xagave’s agave nectar sweetener provides a healthy alternative to sugar. The organic and all natural sweetener is well known for great taste and a favorite among professional chefs. Stephen Richards, President and CEO comments “Xagave is the only agave sweetener that has been able to extract the amazingly healthful inulin from the blue agave plant and infuse it with the calcium-rich white agave.” Steven goes on to say “Inulin is a water-soluble dietary fiber that is capable of moderating blood sugar levels, boosting the immune system, increasing calcium absorption, increasing bone density, reducing risk of colon cancer, and improving digestive health, among other things.” Mr. Richards adds “The agave nectar sweetener provides a filling effect which will satisfy your appetite making it a useful tool for weight loss and weight management.”

A recent study from the American Heart Association recommends limiting the consumption of added sugars. The AHA study recommends most women should consume no more than 100 calories of added sugars per day and most men, no more than 150 calories per day. The average American consumes 22.5 teaspoons or 355 calories of added sugar per day.

For those looking to cut back on sugar, agave nectar is the perfect all natural sugar replacement. Artificial sweeteners such as saccharin, sucralose, and aspartame have a low calorie count however the chemicals in these engineered products are questionable at best and not recommended for cooking. Natural sweeteners like honey and molasses are chemical-free, but their glycemic index, calorie count, and specific taste make them a poor replacement for sugar. Alternative natural sweeteners such as Stevia and Lo Han are limited in their application and are often difficult to use. The all natural agave nectar provides the best of all worlds. In addition to a low glycemic index (30 to 35) and significant calorie savings, the health advantages from the inulin-infused agave nectar are unmatched by any sugar or sugar replacement.

Xagave is truly where delicious meets nutritious, the natural sweetener is sweeter than sugar, very versatile and can easily be used as a complete sugar replacement. The pure agave nectar provides excellent cooking qualities. Unlike other sweeteners, Xagave actually enhances the flavor of foods. Xagave can be used for cooking, canning and baking or as a table top sweetener for cereal, coffee or tea. To help others take advantage of the nutritious health benefits of agave nectar Mr. Richards published “Delicious Meets Nutritious” a compilation of recipes; how to cook, can and bake with agave nectar and whole grains. The Delicious Meets Nutritious cookbook has been well received with over 5,000 copies sold this year, one of the signature recipes in the agave nectar cookbook features a delicious whole grain carrot cake that is over 3,000 calories less that its sugar and white flour counterpart.

Xagave is truly in a class of its own and the only agave nectar sweetener to combine all the health benefits of both white and blue agave nectar with an amazingly great taste.

Just like in any other country getting a contractor mortgage directly from a lender is unmanageable in the UK; this is where brokerage firms come in. There are plenty of brokerage firms that specialize in getting mortgages for contractors. A good brokerage firm should be in a position to bargain good deals for anyone who wants a contractor mortgage.

Most house buyers get all confused in the process of taking mortgages; this is why brokerage firms offer the best solution when it comes to contractor mortgages. Most contractor mortgages are accessed on a case by case basis because of the nature of work that contractors are engaged in. Contractors work as temporary employees making it hard for many lenders to take them seriously when it comes to repayment of mortgages.

In the UK, contractor mortgages are based on the contract rate, term of contract, retained earnings as well as the earning potential of a contractor over the next two years or so. Anyone can apply for a contractor mortgage through a brokerage firm as long as they have a written contract. During the application process, a brokerage firm will ask you for an ID as well as a bank statement.

As a contractor, if you go to a lender directly you will definitely be asked for a three year account that acts as proof that you have been working as a contractor for a long time. By dealing with a brokerage firm you will not be under any pressure to prove for how long you have worked as a contractor; whether you have worked for weeks or months, it does not really matter.

In order to get the best deals in contractor mortgage, it is very important to carry out an extensive research before making any big decisions. Consult different mortgage brokerage firms to find the one that will offer the best deal.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA (PRWEB) February 14, 2012

In celebration of being in business 15 years, online retailer Ironcompany.com, Inc. has just unveiled a whole new look and attitude with its website makeover.

Started in 1997 by owner J.P. Brice as a small, home-based business, Ironcompany.com, Inc. was initially very true to its namesake – a small, local innovator and distributor of a patented adjustable dumbbell system along with iron weight plates. One man’s vision quickly developed into something bigger and more inclusive of the expanding fitness industry. Retail partners in Southern California as supplied locally by Ironcompany.com, Inc. asked Brice to start carrying benches in addition to dumbbells and plates, and then cardio units to follow. Soon thereafter what was previously a stocking model out of Brice’s garage turned into a drop-ship model to accommodate a quickly growing list of source vendor suppliers to provide an expanding selection of free weights, strength equipment, cardio equipment, and rubber flooring.

When Brice began his business in 1997, e-commerce was still in its infancy, monopolized and done well by a few big companies at best. The specialty fitness industry was strongly driven at that time by brick-and-mortar in major marketplaces only, allowing great opportunities for a new retailer like Ironcompany.com, Inc. to make its mark as one of the very first online distributors of fitness equipment catering to shoppers all across the country and also internationally. Brice quickly developed strong partnerships with several freight companies and ground shipping services to offer some of the very best freight rates in any industry to his customers. By combining drop-shipping direct from manufacturing partners and the lowest freight rates around, Ironcompany.com, Inc. created a retail model allowing for some of the most competitive retail pricing in the industry to its customers with little to no overhead caused by traditional warehousing and stocking expenses and liabilities. This model has also served Ironcompany.com, Inc. well to weather the ups and downs of the global economy over the past 15 years, and grow from a one-man operation to an expanding company with a dedicated sales force and customer service team devoted to serving customer needs across all specialized fitness categories.

Flash forward to 2012 and one will find an online retailer constantly innovating and developing its operations, outreach, and drive for growth to more sectors – but one also still very true to its roots in providing the best equipment at the best pricing and with the best customer service. Says owner J.P. Brice, “When I started I put the website together from a do-it-yourself web design kit. The look and feel of the website up until now has served its purpose, but hasn’t changed much in 7 or 8 years. The website was due for a fresh overhaul to reflect who we are now and where we are headed as a company.”

Ironcompany.com, Inc. has also expanded its selection past just import products which initially drove the business model years ago. The company is proud to currently offer several USA-made premium product lines, especially their exclusively branded Patriot Strength™, American Built™ and Bomb Proof® strength and cardio products. And, to enhance the shopping experience of those customers looking solely to source domestically, Ironcompany.com, Inc. has not just identified qualifying products as “Made in the U.S.A.” but has also created an entire section of its website dedicated exclusively to such goods. “More and more shoppers want to support American industry and we want to provide this unique opportunity to those who want it,” says Brice.

Where most online fitness retailers specialize in one sector of the fitness industry only and tend to wear it on their sleeve, Ironcompany.com, Inc. has evolved into a “one-stop shop” for all things fitness. Ironcompany.com, Inc. is proud to focus on several key markets such as home fitness, crossfit, government and military sales, corporate wellness, high school and university sports, private training studios, yoga and wellness, bodybuilding, powerlifting, and general weightlifting. “We have always been an inclusive company rather than exclusive,” says Brice. “We recognize that fitness crosses over into many categories and targets several levels of dedication from the casual enthusiast to the most hardcore and passionate of people for whom fitness has become an actual lifestyle.” Ironcompany.com, Inc. saw a great opportunity with the new website to rebrand and refocus in telling this story to its existing customers and new shoppers.

Tied into this website rebranding is also a strong social networking campaign through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Says Brice, “Social networking wasn’t around when we started. Now more than ever it’s about getting people’s interest and driving them to your site. Keeping it fresh and fun and providing people information and education will keep them engaged, and coming back for more. If you’re not social networking these days, you’re just not in the game.”

Grants Pass, OR (PRWEB) February 06, 2012

Sharon Kleyne, host of the Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water syndicated radio talk show, recently interviewed Gina Samarotto of the Samarotto Design Group of Poughkeepsie, NY, a leading landscape design firm. They discussed the benefits of incorporating water, and employing water conservation techniques, in garden and landscape design.

The interview may be heard on-demand on World Talk Radio, Voice America, Green Talk Network and Apple iTunes.

An important Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water objective is education about all aspects of water, including the esthetic and spiritual. Water is physically life sustaining but also soothing and uplifting. Even if you can’t afford a landscape architect, you can utilize Mrs. Samarotto’s ideas about water and design in your personal space, and support their inclusion in parks and other public areas.

Gina Samarotto graduated from Cornell University as a Landscape Architecture major because of her interest in outdoor living and open spaces. Sharon Kleyne noted that indoor environments tend to be more dehydrating and less healthy than outdoor environments (although outdoor air can become polluted). According to Sharon Kleyne, fresh outdoor air is always more natural and beneficial, especially with water around. Mrs. Samarotto agreed, pointing out that she also incorporates water in her indoor designs (fountains and showers) to humidify and create a relaxed, “outdoors” feeling. By bringing outdoors elements indoors, she blurs the line between indoors and outdoors.

Sharon Kleyne pointed out that indoor environments – insulated walls and windows and forced-air heating and cooling, can be physically dehydrating. According to Gina Samarotto, in Victorian England, people were afraid of fresh air and spent most of their time indoors (but they didn’t have climate controls). Mrs. Samarotto adds that there is nutrition to be gained from the sun (Vitamin D) but that some of the Victorian attitude remains today. She also notes that 100 years ago, people often kept a pot of water on the woodstove to humidify the air.

In her outdoor designs, Mrs. Samatortto often utilizes water and concrete near the house (both of which require less maintenance than lawns and gardens). The goal is to crease spaces that “feel good” and in which all elements – air, light, water, earth and esthetics – work in harmony.

One of Mrs. Samarott’s specialties is micro-landscapes, particularly in New York City. Micro-landscapes are utilized in postage-stamp sized backyards behind brownstones and on rooftops and balconies. Sometimes, she brings outdoor elements indoors, as with a fountain (the water in indoor fountains tends to evaporate quickly and must be refilled frequently). These strategies ground people to the natural environment despite the urban surroundings.

Sharon Kleyne asked about garden design and Mrs. Samarotto said she is a strong advocate of personal gardens. Not everyone can own a farm but there is a nutritional and spiritual benefit to producing some of your own food.

Gina Samarotto and Sharon Kleyne both expressed an interest in low-maintenance garden design. They agreed that people tend to over-water their gardens, flowers, shrubs and houseplants, which is poor water conservation.

Mrs. Samarotto is an advocate of “xeroscaping” – outdoor designs that require minimal water. She notes that herbs require less water than ornamental shrubs. She frequently uses rock gardens and lava rock garden designs with deep rooted “xeric” plants. Certain types of hydroponic gardens also conserve water.

Bottom line: you don’t have to sacrifice form for function and good landscape design doesn’t have to be a compromise or hugely expensive.

King, NC (PRWEB) February 06, 2012

Jordan Di Marco, owner of Dogma Catma Pet Sitting in Boulder, Colo., has been named Pet Sitters International’s 2011 Pet Sitter of the Year™.

This award is presented annually to one pet sitter who embodies the passion and professionalism of the pet-sitting industry. Created by Pet Sitters International(PSI) in 1995, the Pet Sitter of the Year designation is considered the pet-sitting industry’s highest honor.

The 2011 selection process brought in more than 500 nominations for professional pet sitters in 20 states. Serving on this year’s selection panel were David Pearsall of Business Insurers of the Carolinas; Scott Black, 2010 Pet Sitter of the Year; Arden Moore, pet expert and founder of Fourleggedlife.com; and Denise Quashie, founder of Barkworld Expo.

Di Marco joined PSI and opened Dogma Catma Pet Sitting in 2006 after receiving her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado at Denver. She became a Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) in 2009 and also pursued additional training in Pet First Aid and CPR, as well as disaster animal response and pet behavior.

“Jordan’s clients praised her commitment to their pets, her willingness to go beyond the call of duty and her high level of pet-care knowledge,” said PSI President Patti Moran. “Jordan has also made great efforts to take advantage of continuing education opportunities and support the pet-sitting industry. She is a wonderful example to fellow pet-sitting professionals.”

One nomination described how Di Marco borrowed a 4WD vehicle, waded through three feet of snow and shoveled a driveway to reach a client’s pets while the owner’s were out of town during a huge blizzard.

“If Jordan lived in my hometown, she would definitely be my pet sitter of choice,” said one member of the judging selection panel. “She is dedicated to the well being of both her two-legged and four-legged clients.”

The 2011 Pet Sitter of the Year award is sponsored by Business Insurers of the Carolinas, pet-sitter insurance provider and pet-sitting industry supporter for nearly two decades.

Di Marco will serve as the public face of PSI’s nearly 7,000 independently owned member businesses and represent the pet-sitting industry throughout 2012. She will be officially crowned at PSI’s Quest for Excellence Convention in September.

The other top-five Finalists in the 2011 Pet Sitter of the Year competition were:

Kelly Moore, Kitty Kare Pet Sitting Services, LaGrange Park, Ill.
Jill Delzer, Ally McPets Pet Sitting, Redondo Beach, Calif.
Kimberly Boyd, Canine Cuddle Care LLC, Alpharetta, Ga.
Vanessa Sorace, Zoo Sitters, LLC, Cape May Court House, N.J.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 03, 2012

Later this month, WPL Publishing will host a webinar to help various professionals in the construction community understand the risks and pitfalls of cost-plus contracts.

In a cost-plus contract, the owner carries the right to audit the costs, a right often exercised at the completion of a project. After the project has been completed on time and according to specification, an owner may want to audit the costs before paying the final invoice or releasing retainage. What should be done? The project staff has moved on to other projects. Who will be available to assist in carrying out this important task from the owner’s and contractor’s standpoint? What are the risks and pitfalls in managing and supporting the costs according to the requirements of a cost-plus contract? What reconciliation procedures should be followed, and what documents will need to be produced? The webinar not only will address the risks and pitfalls of a cost-plus contract but how those risks can be minimized and managed early on in addition to the steps that should be taken when a construction professional is faced with such an owner audit. To register for the 90-minute event, scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. (EST), visit http://tinyurl.com/6qzbgkb.

The webinar, entitled “Cost-Plus Contracts: The Profit’s in the Audit,” will help attendees grasp the following important implied obligations and special issues in every cost-plus contract:

  An owner’s right to audit.
A contractor’s responsibility to prove costs.
The types of costs that typically are reimbursable.
Setting up a cost-control system at the onset to minimize risk.
Reconciliation procedures to prove costs to the cost-control systems and reports.
The pitfalls in labor, equipment, subcontractor, general conditions, overhead, and other costs.
Issues with auditing guaranteed maximum price contracts.

Addressing webinar attendees will be RGL Forensics Director Jack Harris and Sonia Desai, a manager for the international firm. Mr. Harris has directed and performed numerous expert analyses and calculations involving issues of cost impact, cost reporting, claims damages assessment, lost profits, cost-to-complete estimates, home-office costs, lost revenue, business interruption, operational costs, interest damages, foreign currency exchange, and others. Ms. Desai specializes in the field of litigation support and business valuation. She has managed and executed numerous expert-witness engagements involving the quantification of economic damages and valuation in commercial disputes.

Following their presentations, there will be an interactive 10-to-15 minute question-and-answer session addressing relevant topics.

Webinar tuition is based on location, not number of participants, so each registration site can have multiple participants for one low price. To register, visit http://tinyurl.com/6qzbgkb.

Lisle, Illinois (PRWEB) January 31, 2012

Dogs Love Running!, a unique pet franchise focusing on helping pets live longer and behave better through exercise, has changed the location of their corporate franchise headquarters and moved into a new and larger space in Lisle, Illinois.

“We’ve got a lot of growth ahead of us,” says John Reh, the company’s president. “Our old office was fine for a while, but it won’t accommodate all the plans we have for 2012 and beyond.”

Their new office has room for more franchisees to be trained at the same time. “We feel that our franchisees can learn not just from us, but also from each other during the classroom training sessions. With this new space, we can comfortably fit more people into a class so that everyone has a bigger ‘community’ to learn from,” Mr. Reh said.

The new Dogs Love Running! headquarters also features a space to produce their audio podcast series. In addition, it houses a studio full of lighting and camera equipment where they produce professional videos showcasing their franchisees.

The dog walking franchise founder says that “because our company is so unique, we get a ton of people inquiring about joining our team as franchisees. This new office space will help ensure that we have the capability to not only grow, but also provide an even better training and support program for our franchisee team members.”

Dogs Love Running! is typically categorized as a “dog walking and pet sitting” company. Although they do provide those services, what makes them different is that they also provide a “dog running” service. Just like it sounds, they’ll literally go out and run with clients’ dogs.

Their new Lisle, Illinois headquarters is where franchisees get in-person training and learn how to operate this unique and fun home-based business.

About Dogs Love Running!: Dogs Love Running! is a low-cost home-based pet franchise that enables people to do what they love and work with animals for a living. It’s a full-time, yet flexible, business. Their efforts to help pets live longer and behave better through exercise make them unique in the pet industry.

Doingmypart.com was created in the summer of 2009 with a dream and a vision to help others in need that cannot help themselves. Founders Mike Spencer and Josh Delaney started the Doing My Part cause after realizing the gap between the small number of people who make giving a part of their lives, and the very large percentage that do not. The decision to make doing my part a platform to give individuals the simple opportunity to give back to all people in need and join a movement of like-minded individuals. Doing My Part doesn’t provide aid to a specific cause, rather, finds urgent projects for many causes and fundraises accordingly.

Clean drinking water, homes for the homeless, shoes for the barefooted, wheelchairs for the disabled, building for the disaster stricken….and the list goes on.

Now in Q1 of 2012, Doing My Part has filed for it’s 501(c)3 status, which means that once approved by the IRS, all donations to the Doing My Part cause will be tax deductible for the donor. In going through this process and the many processes involved with facilitating and mainitaining a non-profit organzation, the Doing My Part founders believed it was necessary to have an expert in the field.

They have chose to bring on Brady Mazzola, founder of Watering Seeds Org. Brady is a former Tennis Pro in Beverly Hills, CA. He is a recognized speaker in the Celebrity Non Profit industry and has been featured in publications like MSNBC, The Reporter, LA Confidential, and USA Today.

Inspired by a wheelchair tennis exhibition at UCLA in July 2004, Brady decided to take action on what was in his heart and the Watering Seeds Organization (WSO) was born. Watering Seeds is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and was founded to create recreational and athletic opportunities for physically challenged individuals by supplying the necessary adaptive sports equipment.

WSO’s current mission has been broadened to supply the needs of not only those with physical challenges, but also those who could benefit from mental exercises.

Founder, Brady Mazzola states, “We at WSO believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilled life despite any ailment. We all know, life is unpredictable.”

From birth defects, to automotive and horseback riding accidents, to disease, lives are altered daily in mere seconds. In acknowledging the increasing number of amputees and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder victims (PTSD — a syndrome caused by re-experiencing traumatic events while unresponsive to current events) returning home from the war overseas, WSO recognizes the importance of addressing and promoting the independence and rehabilitation of our Wounded Warriors.

Doingmypart.com not only brought on Brady as the newest board member to help with non-profit operations, but these three young social activists are helping WSO military veterans in need of sports wheel chairs. DMP is going to announce this project shortly after the approval of the 501(c)(3) status for Doing My Part, Inc. 2012 is looking to be an exciting year for doingmypart.com and its projects.
